Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from the sport after beating Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje in his final three fights officially. However, Oliveira made his defending title match a treat to watch for the fans as he mauled Dustin Poirier at UFC 269 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
MMA analyst Chael Sonnen has questioned the legacy of Khabib Nurmagomedov after Charles Oliveira’s recent win against Dustin Poirier. Khabib left with a record of 29-0 in March, following his fathers demise as he promised his mother that the fight against Justin will be his last fight. Moreover, Oliveria was always there when Khabib was fighting the top fighters such as Conor, Dustin and Justin.
People are loving what Oliveira has proved them in Las Vegas, Nevada against Dustin. Soon after that, fans were quick to compare him with Khabib as the Russian clearly stated that “that time was Khabib time and now is Oliveira time”. He also said ” Islam Makachev is going to be the best fighter soon as he is beating all the big names in the UFC panel”.
Although, we should be a little more attentive towards Charles Oliveira, as he is the one proving every time he steps out in the cage. His 9 win streak is yet to be broken.
Sonnen may have praised ‘Do Bronx’ for being the best 155-pounder in the UFC, but he predicted him to lose to Gaethje when they fight next year.
“Oliveira gets hit a lot and he gets hurt when he gets hit. Justin Gaethje hits people a lot but they stay hurt when Justin hits them.”

In Addition, UFC OG Dana White also made it clear to the media that neither Conor nor anyone else will be in the race for the championship but Justin Gaethje will be the one to go head to head against the Brazilian.
