Griezmann has been linked to Manchester United for quite a while now. His move to United would already have materialized last summer if Atletico were allowed to replace him immediately.
Because Griezmann didn’t want to leave his club in their dire times, Manchester United decided to pursue Lukaku instead, signing him for 75 million pounds from Everton.

Flirting between the Red Devils and Griezmann continued however, with many sources claiming that he would join United in the next transfer window. There are also reports of him in contact with Barcelona, with the La Liga leaders eager to strengthen their strike force with the French striker.
Griezmann responded to these transfer rumors by saying that he would love to play with Pogba every day, but he does not want to join Manchester United.
“My future will be decided before the World Cup, I want to go to Russia with a clear mind, I think that’s what everybody wants, it’s not so much the question of where I’ll play, which may be boring, but about having the peace of mind if I’m still in one place or another,” he said.
“I’ve told my sister that, whether I stay or not, I’ll have to decide before (the World Cup).”
“If we could have this every day,” Pogba said on Canal+ as the pair interviewed each other.
Griezmann responded with: “It would be nice.”
“But beware, that doesn’t mean I want to go to Manchester United.”
After a slow start to the season, Griezmann has scored 23 goals in 38 games in all competitions for Atletico this season. His partnership with Diego Costa is especially boring fruit for the Roji Blancos.
